Acne Treatment for All Ages
At Body Oasis Beauty and Wellness Center we pride ourselves in developing individualized treatment options for those suffering from adolescent and adult acne.
The treatment of acne includes a combination of the following methods:
- Topical agents such as salicylic acid washes, benzoyl peroxide gels, tretinoin, retinol and topical antibiotic.
- Oral medications such as antibiotics and hormone therapy.
- Chemical Peels
- PhotoDynamic Acne Therapy (PDT) — An agent called Levulan® is applied to the skin for one hour. The skin is then treated with Intense Pulsed Light Laser. Acne is typically resolved for approximately one year and future breakouts are reduced. This treatment is used for moderate to severe acne patients. The treatment is usually repeated three to five times.
